Витан Печев разказва за решението си да дарява всеки месец

When you give, you get back more than you gave

Every amount matters. We don't need a scale to weigh which good deed is bigger — every good deed is good.

Витан Печев

Hi, I'm Vitan Pechev and I want to share the good with you.

I think life has given me a lot and I'm grateful for what I have. But somehow that isn't everything — you have to give to others too, to share what you have, so the circle is complete and the cycle closes.

It was Christmas 2024. I saw on social media that Slavina was sharing a campaign. People most often think about giving around the holidays, and it warmed me that someone close was putting her energy and time into things like this. It felt like the perfect moment to support a cause like that.

I chose to give regularly, because it's a decision I made long ago and thought through completely. I just want it to keep happening. Every amount matters — we don't need a scale to weigh which good deed is bigger. Every good deed is good.

However urgent a cause is, it doesn't matter if the people behind the organisation aren't the right ones — then the money either goes to waste or into someone's pocket. I know the people behind Surya, I know their plan and their integrity, and I'm completely at ease about what they do. That's why I keep supporting them.

My advice: just try it. Give once and see how it makes you feel; see what it means to give to a stranger and have them be grateful to you. When you give, you genuinely get back more than you gave.
