Berkay Rami donated 200 new garments for men starting life over

Not all heroes wear capes. Some just pick up the phone, reach out and say: “I want to help.”
That's exactly who Berkay Rami from Haskovo is — a man with a big heart and an even bigger sense of humanity. He got in touch with the Surya Foundation team wanting to donate 200 brand-new men's garments from his own fashion brand. The total weight of the donation came to an impressive 144.5 kilograms — filled not just with fabric and stitching, but with hope and dignity.
The donation includes T-shirts, sweatshirts, joggers, shorts, smart jackets and trousers — all brand new, carefully chosen. The clothes were handed over to our partners at the Council of Refugee Women in Bulgaria, who will distribute them to men seeking protection and a fresh start in a country that is still foreign to them. To people who don't just need shelter, but a sense of being treated like a human being and feeling their own worth.
Donations often get tied up in numbers — units, kilograms, values. But what these men received was something more: a gesture that gives them dignity and faith. And for us — a reminder that behind every donation stands a person who chose to be part of the solution.
