Volunteers hoed 500 saplings in Sofia's New Forest

On 20 August we took another step together towards a greener Sofia!
With the Surya Foundation team, volunteers and partners we weeded and hoed close to 500 young trees in the Abdovitsa neighbourhood — part of Sofia Municipality's “Sofia's New Forest” project.
About 20 volunteers joined in, and our friends from Chaos brought the biggest crew — they showed up with hard work and a tasty lunch for everyone too. Iskar district took on the watering — and by the very next day, the trees were already refreshed.
Local residents also showed their thanks — one of them gave us two sacks of home-grown cucumbers.
