Christmas joy for children without a home

There are so many children in crisis. We know we can't help every single one, but we can do the very best we're able to do, to reach as many of them as possible.
That's why we created a campaign to bring joy to all the children at the "Sveti Georgi" Temporary Shelter for Homeless People in the Krasna Polyana district of Sofia.
At Christmas, 28 children had found temporary shelter there with their parents — 18 boys, 9 girls, and one baby girl. We made sure every one of them received a big package of Christmas treats of all kinds, worth a total of 400 BGN.
These gifts were made possible thanks to the kindness and generosity of incredible people. Our very first official volunteer, Nadin Hasan, and her son Ivan joined the SURYA team with extra treats Ivan donated from his own personal savings. Thank you so much, Ivan!
And the children's joy was truly enormous.
Once again, with your priceless support and help, we managed to make Christmas more festive and the world a little warmer for these 28 children and their parents who'd been left without a roof over their heads. We'll keep on supporting people in need like these — counting on your help too. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
