The young forest of Vitosha

On 12 October, we ran another of our green initiatives in partnership with the Bulgarian Yoga Association (@yogabg_official). A team of 15 volunteers and one little helper looked after the young forest on Vitosha, strengthening the saplings planted last year so they can stand up to the winter ahead.
In Vitosha Nature Park, the volunteers cleared the tall grasses around the saplings and loosened the soil to give the trees better nutrition and protection from the winter snow. We're delighted to share that most of the saplings have taken root successfully, and in the spring we'll add new trees where they're needed.
