On 24 August, Surya Foundation organised a volunteer clean-up action on a green space next to the 108th school in Druzhba 1 — a place that often gets overlooked, but is an important part of daily life for dozens of families and school students.
The action was made possible thanks to the support and partnership of Iskar district, and brought together volunteers, local residents and friends of the foundation, all joining forces for a cleaner, tidier city.
We collected dozens of bags of waste, cleared littered patches of the grassy area, and freshened up the space so it can once again be a green refuge for the people who live nearby.
Looking after a shared space is an act of responsibility. Thank you to everyone who joined in with willingness, energy and genuine care.
