"Every Child Deserves Christmas 2025": a first Christmas gathering and personal gifts for 99 children in Cherni Vrah

At the end of 2025, Surya Foundation ran the campaign "Every Child Deserves Christmas" — for the first time supporting the children and young people of Cherni Vrah village, Montana municipality.
The village sits in an area of high unemployment and serious social challenges, where many families live in hardship and the holidays often pass unnoticed.
There are 99 children aged 0 to 18 living in the village, and for many of them this was the first Christmas gift of their lives. The campaign let donors personally pick a gift for a specific child, knowing their age and gender — an approach that turned every donation into a real, personal gesture.
Surya Foundation joined as a partner in the first ever Christmas celebration in Cherni Vrah. Together with volunteers, festive decorations were prepared, along with a special programme and a meeting with Santa Claus that created a real sense of magic and belonging. The gift-giving became the high point of the celebration — a moment full of smiles, excitement and pure joy.
The campaign was made possible by the care of many donors — individuals and companies alike — who got behind the cause with trust and a sense of responsibility. Every gift was thoughtfully picked, and every donation went towards making sure not a single child was left without a festive surprise.
