Charity campaign to build a physiotherapy room at the Home for adults with physical disabilities in Slivek

About this cause

Surya Foundation, in partnership with Lovech Municipality, is launching a charity campaign to build a physiotherapy room at the Home for adults with physical disabilities in the village of Slivek. The home has capacity for 40 residents — 23 men and 17 women, living with physical disabilities from amputated limbs, cerebral palsy, strokes and heart attacks.
Unfortunately, the residents of the home in Slivek currently have no access to specialised rehabilitation, because the building that houses the social service was originally built as a holiday retreat and doesn't have a suitable physiotherapy room.
That's why our goal is to transform the space originally designed as a drying room into a fully equipped rehabilitation room that will significantly improve the quality of life of the people in the home. Once the planned renovation work is done, we at Surya Foundation will take care of the furnishings and the specialised equipment needed.
