Gifts that bring joy

About this cause

This year, together, we can bring joy to 55 people, young and old, living through a crisis — with gifts that carry more than a smile. We are preparing presents for the residents of two crisis centres: the centre for children who have survived trafficking or violence in the village of Balvan, and the “Tarnovgrad” crisis centre for adults. For the youngest: knitted jumpers and cosy surprises to keep them warm and add a little magic to their world. For the older children: a “Svetulcho” set — a book, a bookmark and a glowing pen — a symbol of dreams, knowledge and light.

What can you donate? Children's and women's clothing is needed most, though men's clothing is welcome too.

For the adults we're bringing warmth against the cold — and, we hope, into their hearts — with soft downy scarves. Best of all, the gifts are handmade by mothers of children with disabilities and by people with disabilities from the kupipodarak platform, who put real love and care into making them. Your help brings joy to the people in the crisis centres and, at the same time, supports these remarkable makers who overcome the countless challenges of living with a disability every day.
